Rob Day is The Goalie Guy!!!

Rob has been successfully training some of the top goalies in the country for nearly 20 years.  He currently serves as the goalie coach for the New Hampshire Junior Monarchs (one of the top junior teams in the country) and has served in that capacity for the last 8 seasons.  In that 8 year time frame he has produced 3 NHL draft picks, 7 Division 1 college goalies, several major junior draft picks and many college and USA Select goalies and National team goalies.  Both of the NH Junior Monarch goalies were invited to the Viking Cup (US National under 18 tournament) during the 2005-2006 season with one being named to the squad and one as an alternate.  In the 2007-08 season alone he has 16 goalies playing at the NCAA level and 9 goalies attend the USA Select camps over the last 2 summers.  In 2006-2007 he had 24 goalies playing at the NCAA level.  He also serves as a lecturer with USA Hockey-educating coaches in the newest methods of goaltending.  Rob takes an all-around approach to training-he focuses on: technical saves, the mental game, off-ice training, and positioning.  Several of Rob's students have also gone on to coach at the college, major junior, and professional level-showing that what is taught is transferrable, teachable and understandable.

Rob will work to bring out the best in your goalie, by working with their strengths and abilities.  He will show them how to get the most out of what they have, becuase after all everyone is different and what works for one may not work for another.

A former engineer, college goalie and coach (Worcester Polytechnic Institute), Rob applies his engineering principles to his teaching methods so maximum efficiency is gained with each movement.   Couple this with the life skills that your goalie will need to function in the outside world once the hockey career is done you have an unbeatable combination of training.

Rob has maintained excellent relationships with many college, junior, and prep school coaches.  Rob's passion is to further his students dreams while making them solid citizens ready to contribute to society in their working lives
.  Local students are able to gain the advantage of Rob's training, while thanks to technology Rob is able to reach long distance clients through video training and teletraining.  Team up with one of America's best goalie coaches and watch your goalie's game improve.
